Knole House has stood in its current form for over 500 years. We have carried out various projects here for The National Trust and The Lord Sackville-West including forming 30 window openings from Kentish Ragstone, rebuilding gables with galleted pointing, lime rendering and brickwork.

Goodnestone House
This Grade II* house sits within parkland outside Canterbury. Originally built in 1704 and substantially altered since. Our works here included careful cleaning using the DOFF system, the removal of decayed masonry and its replacement with new Caen French limestone and sculpted mortar repairs to the carved pediment. We also repointed large areas of brickwork with lime mortar to match the original material.

Lancaster Gate
Lancaster Gate, close to Hyde Park, is formed of terraces of grand stucco rendered buildings. Constructed in the 19th Century these buildings formed the finest private residences in the Bayswater and Kensington area. However, over time demand for these large houses declined and many of them were converted in to hotels. Now they are being retuned to residential use again as luxury apartments. We are carrying out works to several of the houses including paint removal, stucco restoration, window repairs, internal lime plastering and decorations.

Somerset House
Situated on The Strand in London this neo-classical masterpiece was constructed over a period of many years and for most of its life served as offices for various state departments. It is now dedicated to education, exhibitions and public events. Here we have carried out extensive works to the Portland Stone masonry including taking down and rebuilding many of the chimneys to the South wing together with the replacement of corroding iron cramps with stainless steel and cleaning and repointing works.

St Andrew Holborn
A church has stood on this site since 959AD. The current church was built under the direction of Sir Christopher Wren following the Great Fire of London. It now serves as a Guild Church and is the seat of The Bishop of Fulham. Our latest project here was the installation of a new altar on a raised platform, all made from polished Anglesey Limestone supplied by Britannicus Stone. The project also included making an oak gradine to sit behind the altar which supports the tabernacle and candelabra. Our team was also responsible for delivering the recent re-ordering of the church which included a new Hopton Wood stone floor, decorations, gilding, lime plastering and a new lighting system.

St Mary’s and All Saints Church, Boxley
Forming the heart of this village near Maidstone in Kent, this Grade I church was built in the 13th Century, with additions made in the 14th and 15th Century. Unfortunately it had been heavily restored with damaging cement based mortar around 30 years ago. We were entrusted with the removal of this to allow the building to breathe again. We replaced Kentish Ragstone quoins, carried out indents to the window tracery and repointed the tower with lime based material.
